Financial Aid

For Graduate Students

Both of our graduate programs (Masters and Doctorate) are certified as Programs of Excellence by the the Mexican National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT) within the National Program of Quality Graduate Studies (PNPC).  One benefit of this certification is that both programs enjoy the scholarships system for full-time students. This financial aid is open to foreign students as well.

In addition to the funding provided by CONACYT, additional support for highly qualified applicants may be available. This support range from departmental tuition waivers, to monthly stipends, which are awarded based on the applicant’s credentials and/or involved as a Graduate Research Assistant.

Other sources of financial support available to prospective students, particularly if the applicant works as a lecturer in an educational institution, are:

  • The PRODEP program of the Secretariat of Public Education
  • Scholarship programs of the National Association of Universities and
  • Institutions of Higher Education (ANUIES)

Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología

For Postdoctoral Researchers

In addition, financial support for postdoctoral researchers may be available from CONACYT, PRODEP, or individial faculty grants.  Please contact the Academic Coordinator or the individual Faculty for further inquiries.
